Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who led Royal Challengers Bangalore to an easy win against Kolkata Knight Riders, says he wants to perform magically for his team. Siraj is the only bowler in IPL history to bowl two maiden overs in a single match. Siraj conceded eight runs in four overs and took three wickets. He was voted Man of the Match for this performance.
Siraj said after the match, "Everyone in RCB supports me a lot, even fans. I want to do a magical performance for the team and it was a similar performance."
Captain Virat Kohli handed Siraj a new ball during the match.
They said, "I was practicing a lot with the new ball. We had not planned that I would bowl a new ball, but when we went to the ground, Virat Bhai said, ‘Get ready.’"
Siraj first dismissed Rahul Tripathi (1) and then bowled Nitish Rana on the next ball.
The ball which Rana dismissed to Rana was his favorite ball. Apart from Tripathi and Rana, Siraj took the wicket of Tom Benton.
Siraj has taken six wickets in four matches this season.
