IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Jofra Archer is now counting the days to be free from the Bio Secure Bubble of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, cricketers are not allowed to go outside the Bio Secure environment these days. The England bowler was dropped from the team for breaking the protocol of the Bio Secure bubble during the series against the West Indies.
Joffra Archer said that he is now overcome by the loneliness of the Bio Secure bubble and wants to be free from it. During the series against the West Indies, he broke into the bio bubble and went home for a while, due to which he was dropped from the team for a Test. Joffra Archer lived in the Bio Secure bubble in England for nearly three months. They have been in the Bio Secure bubble in the UAE for over a month now.
Jofra Archer is one of the successful bowlers of Rajasthan team. He has taken 17 wickets in 12 matches. Jofra Archer has also played some aggressive innings for the Rajasthan Royals team this season. He has also emerged as a useful batsman in the lower order. Joffra Archer said, ‘I’m tired of the Bio Secure bubble these days. I am cutting the remaining days of the tournament in the calendar. It is good to be limited in the field, but even after being out of the field, you are not able to get away from cricket. England’s World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan had expressed concern over the impact on the mental health of players due to the environment of bio bubble. He had said that in future many players would prefer to stay away from such tournaments due to bio bubble.
