Captain Virat Kohli, who played 200 matches for the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (Aasibi), has said that he had never thought about it. Kohli completed his 200 matches for Bangalore from the match against Kings XI Punjab in the 31st match of the 13th season of IPL released at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium here on Thursday. He has played 184 matches in IPL so far for Bangalore and 15 in Champions League T20.
Kohli became the first cricketer to play 200 matches for a single team.
Kohli said during the toss before the match with Punjab, "Aasibi means a lot to me. Many people do not understand that feeling. Playing 200 matches for a team is incredible. I did not think about it in 2008 at all."
They said, "It is a great honor for me. They have trusted me and I remain here. When the team wins, you look good as a captain. There are many people who have raised their hands only after two defeats."
