In the IPL-13, the match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians on Sunday at Dubai International Stadium was decided in the second super over where Punjab won. Mumbai, batting first, scored 176 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. Punjab also got the same score and the match reached the super over.
In the first super over, Punjab batted first and scored five runs. Mumbai also managed to score five runs in the super over and reached the second super over in the match.
In the second super over, Mumbai batted first and scored 11 runs. Punjab won the match by scoring 12 runs off four balls.
This is the first time in IPL history that a second super over has been played after a tie over.
KL Rahul scored the highest 77 for Punjab. In his innings, Rahul faced 51 balls and hit seven fours and three sixes.
Quinton de Kock scored 53 off 43 balls for Mumbai. His innings included three fours and three sixes. Apart from them, Krunal Pandya and Keran Pollard scored 34-34. Nathan Coulter Nile also contributed an unbeaten 24 runs. Pollard also returned unbeaten with him. Pollard and Nile scored 62 runs in the final five overs.
For Punjab, Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep took two wickets each.
