Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in the IPL 2020 match played in Sharjah on Saturday. With this win, Delhi has reached the first position in the points table with 14 points. Opener Shikha Dhawan was the hero of this magnificent victory of Delhi. Dhawan, batting brilliantly, scored 101 runs with the help of 14 fours and 1 six in 58 balls, for which he was adjudged Man of the Match.
With this century of Dhawan, there was a special record which was not done in the last 12 seasons.
Prior to this match, KL Rahul of Kings XI Punjab had scored an unbeaten 132 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mayank Agarwal, the second batsman from Punjab, scored 106 runs in the match against Rajasthan Royals.
This is the first time in the 13-year history of IPL that Indian batsmen have scored the first three centuries of a season.

This was Dhawan’s first century playing IPL for 13 years. With this, he has become the player to score the most innings before scoring his first century in the IPL. Dhawan has scored the first century in the 167th innings of his IPL career. In this case, he left behind Virat Kohli. Kohli scored his first IPL century in the 120th innings.
