Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in a super over in the 35th match of IPL-13 played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium here on Sunday. Hyderabad scored two for two in the Super Opar, which Kolkata scored with two balls to spare.
Kolkata has won the Super Over for the first time in the IPL.
Earlier, Kolkata lost the toss, batting first and scored 163 runs for five wickets and then restricted Hyderabad to 163 runs for six wickets and reached the match in the Super Over.
For Hyderabad, captain David Warner scored an unbeaten 47, Johnny Bairstow scored 36 and Kane Williamson scored 29 runs.
Locky Ferguson bowled for Kolkata, taking three wickets for 15 runs in four overs. Apart from him, Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi and Varun Chakraborty got one wicket each.
