Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 8 wickets in the IPL season 13 match played on Wednesday. Gautam Gambhir, a former Team India batsman and two-time champion of Kolkata, praised Virat Kohli’s captaincy in this match and also expressed disappointment over one of his decisions.
Gambhir said during the commentary in this match, “Kohli should not have given the third over of KKR’s innings to Navdeep Saini. He said that Chris Morris had put in the first innings very brilliantly and had spent only 3 runs. Siraj, who came to bowl after that, showed the path of pavilion to Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi in the same over but when Kohli handed the ball to Navdeep Saini in the third over, he was surprised.
Gambhir said," Virat presented tremendous captaincy by giving new ball to Mohammad Siraj. But the decision to give an over to Saini in place of Morris is surprising."
Let us know that in the match, Kolkata Knight Riders were able to score only 84 runs for 8 wickets while batting first. The Bangalore team, chasing the target, achieved the target of victory by losing 2 wickets in just 13.3 overs.
