The first match of the 13th season of IPL will be played on Saturday (September 19) between Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni), led by Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians captained by Rohit Sharma. The match will start at 7:30 pm Indian time at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
In this match, Chennai captain Dhoni will have a chance to set a special record. As soon as Dhoni hit 4 sixes in this match, AB de Villiers of South Africa, who played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, will drop to the second place in the list of batsmen with the most sixes. Dhoni has played 190 matches in his IPL career so far, in which he has scored a total of 209 sixes. AB de Villiers has 212 sixes in 154 matches.

The record of hitting the most sixes in IPL history is for West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, who has played 326 sixes in 125 matches, playing for Kings XI Punjab.
On the other hand, if Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma manages to hit 6 sixes in tomorrow’s match, he will become the fourth batsman to complete 200 sixes in IPL history. Rohit Sharma currently has 194 sixes in 188 matches.
