Chennai Super Kings fans have again got a bad news ahead of the opening match of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be played against Mumbai Indians on 19 September. The corona test of the team’s young batsman Rituraj Gaikwad has come back positive. This means that they will still have to remain in isolation and will not be able to join the bio-secure bubble with their team.
According to the Times of India news, Gaikwad has not shown any signs of corona since its inception.
After Suresh Raina was ruled out of this IPL season, it was believed that Gaikwad might come in to bat at number three. But with his corona consistently testing positive, it is now impossible for him to play in the first match of the season between Mumbai and Chennai.
Please tell that 13 members of Chennai Super Kings including fast bowler Deepak Chahar and batsman Rituraj Gaikwad had become corona after which the team finally started their training. However, it is a matter of joy among all that the fast bowler Deepak Chahar is now fully fit and he has started training with the team.
