The situation is getting worse for MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020. On Saturday, CSK suffered defeat despite being in excellent condition to win the match played against Delhi Capitals. CSK had to defend 21 runs in the last two overs during the match. Sam Curran bowled a brilliant 19th over and conceded just four runs.
But in the final over, Ravindra Jadeja failed to defend 16 runs and Delhi team won the match by 5 wickets. Patel hit three sixes off Jadeja in the final over but CSK suffered more from not being able to over despite his death overs specialist Dwayne Bravo being in the playing eleven.
Dwayne Bravo had to leave the field due to injury due to which MS Dhoni had to deliver the ball to Jadeja. Before being taken off the field, Dwayne Bravo had bowled a brilliant three overs and also took the crucial wicket of Shreyas Iyer.
After the game, CSK Head Coach Stephen Fleming gave an update on Bravo’s injury, saying, ‘This is a matter of concern. Bravo may be out of the team for a few weeks due to an injury. He seems to have a groin injury, apparently stopping him from getting back on the field was quite serious, he was genuinely disappointed that he was not able to throw the final over. He is in the team for the same work. He may take a few days or a few weeks to play further.
