Australia have announced their 18-man squad for the ODI and T20 series against India. The team includes 21-year-old batting all-rounder Cameron Green. At the same time, Moises Henriques has returned to the team in place of injured Mitchell Marsh during the IPL.
Nathan Lyon, Josh Phillippe, Riley Meredith and Andrew Tye have not found a place in the squad.
Green has played 9 ODIs for Western Australia and 13 T20 matches for Perth Scorchers. But he has got a chance in the team thanks to his brilliant performance in Sheffield Shield. Heinrichs played his last international match for Australia in 2017. Last year, the Sydney Sixers team won the Big Bash League title under the captaincy of Henriques. During this time he batted at a strike rate of 150.
The selectors have given a chance to give Mitchell Marsh a chance in the Australia A team in two practice matches against India in December. If he proves his fitness and form, he could be back in the team for the Test series.
The first match of the series of three ODIs between India and Australia will be played on 27 November, while the first match of the series of three T20 International matches will be played on 4 December.
