Former Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad has made a big statement about Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni after Chennai’s 5 wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals.
Miandad has said during a conversation with the Indian Express that Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian captain and currently the captain of Chennai, may be fit and fit in his body but he is not fit to play in the match.
He said that Dhoni is physically strong but when he is coming to play in the field, he does not see that promptness in him.
Javed Miandad said, "Your physical ability is exactly the opposite of your age. As you get older, your body starts to weaken. And then you work hard to stay fit. Dhoni is still very fit physically. But I am talking about fitness in their match. It becomes very difficult for players of Dhoni’s age. My concern is their timing and process towards things. If a player is not fit for the match correctly then his timing changes."
He said that Dhoni is not able to play the ball properly and the ball is not coming in the middle of his bat. If they practice in the net, they can improve.
This IPL season has been very bad for Dhoni. This season he has managed to score only 136 runs in 9 matches.
