Australia won the first match of the series and England in the second. In this match, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will have a chance to make two records.

After scoring 45 runs in this match, Maxwell will complete his 3000 runs in ODI cricket. He will become Australia’s 23rd player to touch this figure. Maxwell has scored 2955 runs in 102 innings of 112 matches played so far at an average of 32.47, including 1 century and 20 fifties.

Maxwell has hit 98 sixes in an ODI career so far. He will become the sixth player from Australia to score 100 or more sixes in ODIs as soon as he scores 2 more sixes in this match. Till now players such as Ricky Ponting (162), Adam Gilchrist (149), Shane Watson (131), Aaron Finch (120), Andrew Symonds (103) have been able to do it for Australia.
Maxwell played a key role in the team’s victory by playing a blistering knock of 77 from 59 balls in the first ODI. However, in the second ODI, he could score only 1 run.
