Another player from Chennai Super Kings, Corona (Kovid-19) has turned positive and with this the number of people infected with this virus of the franchise has increased to 13. Sources in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) informed IANS on Saturday. After 13 members suffering Kovid-19, Chennai fans have received another setback as all-rounder Suresh Raina has withdrawn from the league’s 13th season.
The team’s Chief Executive Officer KS. Vishwanathan gave this information on the franchise’s Twitter on Saturday morning. According to Vishwanathan, Raina has decided to withdraw from the IPL due to personal reasons.
The 12 members of the team came to Kovid-19 test positive on Friday. However, it is not clear how many of these players, support staff and members are there. This has raised questions over the league’s 13th season.
Sources told IANS, “Another player’s test positive has come. His name is not yet known, but I am told that another player’s test positive has come. Here in the UAE it all looks very bad. . Now the rest of the teams are also quite worried. “
Vishwanathan tweeted about Raina but did not say how many players were found to be Corona positive. The franchise has also not released a statement yet.
Due to Kovid-19, the IPL is to be held this time between September 19 and November 10. It is usually held in India in summer but this time could not be possible due to this virus.
Apart from the tweet, no reason has been revealed for Raina’s withdrawal. Raina had recently announced his retirement from international cricket with Mahendra Singh Dhoni on 15 August.
The BCCI has not yet issued any statement regarding the Kovid-19 Test positive exit of Chennai members.
